PORTLAND-A protest outside the Portland Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility escalated Saturday after a demonstrator made inflammatory remarks mocking the reported killing of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.
During a tense confrontation with police, the protester shouted, “He died how he lived — talking out the side of his motherf—ing neck,” drawing swift backlash both at the scene and online.
Authorities have not confirmed details surrounding the alleged incident involving Kirk, and officials have yet to comment on whether any arrests were made during the demonstration. The exchange added to already heightened tensions between law enforcement and protesters gathered at the ICE facility.
