The Gasabo Primary Court has ordered former Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) Secretary-General Kalisa Adolphe to remain in 30 days of provisional detention as investigations continue. Kalisa faces charges of embezzlement and use of forged documents, offenses that carry heavy penalties under Rwandan law.
During the hearing, prosecutors argued that releasing him could jeopardize the ongoing investigation. The court concurred, stressing the need to safeguard justice and prevent interference with evidence. FERWAFA has not yet commented on the case, which has attracted significant attention in Rwanda’s sporting community.
