The Vice President of the Amman Chamber of Commerce ( ACC), Nabil Khatib, recently held talks with the Rwandan Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, James Ngango, to deepen economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the two countries.
The discussions, confirmed in an ACC statement on October 28, 2025, followed up on a Jordanian delegation’s visit to Rwanda in October 2024. The delegation, led by Minister of Industry and Trade Yarub Qudah and private sector representatives, participated in the Joint Rwanda–Jordan Trade and Investment Committee Meeting and the Rwanda–Jordan Business Forum.
Ambassador Ngango reaffirmed Rwanda’s commitment to strengthening bilateral economic ties and expanding investment opportunities that benefit both nations.
Khatib described the meeting as a vital step toward implementing and expanding trade cooperation. He proposed organizing a special trade exhibition connecting Rwandan and Jordanian businesses to promote partnerships.
He emphasized Jordan’s trade and services sector’s commitment to enhancing relations with Rwanda, especially amid global and regional economic challenges that demand stronger collaboration.
Both sides discussed plans to hold a Rwanda–Jordan Business Forum on November 13, 2025, in Amman, partnering with government and private entities from both countries. This event will prepare the ground for the next Joint Trade and Investment Committee Meeting set for March 2026 in Amman.
Ambassador Ngango stated that the forum will provide a platform for dialogue between business communities, help identify shared investment opportunities, and boost cooperation in sectors like agriculture, tourism, services, and technology.
The forum aims to enhance trade relations and facilitate smoother business collaboration between Rwanda and Jordan.
